How does the auction work?
We run local estate sale auctions and all bidding takes place on our website. Instead of walking through a home, you can browse photos and descriptions of every item, bid online, and pick up only the items you win.
How do I register to bid?
In our menu, click on the Register button or click here.
How do I pay for an auction I won?
Winning bidders must pay for their items within 4 hours of winning the auction. You will pay through your won auctions/orders section or you can click on the payment link in the email you receive after winning an auction.
What if I can’t pay?
Never bid on an item that you cannot afford. Failure to pay for a winning auction item will result in a permanent ban from future bidding.
When and where is pickup?
- Pickup Day: The day after the auction ends, usually Sunday.
- Location: Emporia, KS – The exact address will be provided only to winning bidders for estate owner privacy and security reasons.
- You must present your paid auction invoice (either digitally or printed) to claim your items.
We will be onsite to check off each item and make sure you receive all the items you won.
What if I can’t make the pickup time?
If you cannot pick up during the designated time, please arrange for a friend, family member, or mover to pick up for you. We cannot provide alternate pickup days.
Do you offer shipping?
Currently, we do not offer shipping. This is a local Emporia pickup auction only.
What happens if I don’t pick up my items?
If you fail to pick up during the scheduled time, your items will be considered abandoned and no refunds will be issued.
Do I need to bring anything to pickup?
Yes! Please bring:
- A copy of your paid invoice (digital or printed)
- Help for lifting/moving heavy items
- Any tools needed to disassemble furniture or fixtures
- Packing materials/boxes if needed
Can I preview items before bidding?
No, this is a local online-only auction. We provide detailed descriptions and clear photos so you can bid with confidence.
Is everything sold “as-is”?
Yes. All items are sold “as-is, where-is” with no warranties. Please review photos and descriptions carefully before bidding.
What is a Buyer’s Premium?
A Buyer’s Premium is an additional fee charged to the winning bidder on top of the final bid price. It is usually calculated as a percentage of the winning bid (for example, 8%). For instance, if you win an item with a bid of $1.00 and the Buyer’s Premium is 8%, your total cost would be $1.08. This premium helps cover the costs of running the auction and is standard practice in the auction industry.
